Who we are

Faral & Co (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an Australian business based in Melbourne, Victoria (ABN 99 697 202 494). We sell traditional Maharashtrian festival snack boxes for Diwali and other occasions. Contact us at hello@faral.co.

We collect only what we need to operate our business:

Email addressWhen you sign up to be notified about our launch or place an order.

Name & delivery addressWhen you place an order, so we can deliver your box or find the nearest pickup point.

Phone numberFor delivery coordination.

Payment informationProcessed securely by our payment provider. We never store your card details.

Usage dataAnonymised analytics to understand how our website is used.

Advertising dataThe ad or link that brought you to our site, and browser and device details such as your IP address, collected when you visit or order.

How we use your information

To notify you when we launch (if you signed up to our mailing list).

To process and deliver your order.

To send you order confirmations and updates.

To improve our website and understand our audience.

To measure which of our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to orders, and to show our ads to people likely to be interested.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. The only information we share for advertising is what is described in the “Advertising” entry below.

AnalyticsAnonymised website analytics to understand how our site is used.

AdvertisingMeta (Facebook and Instagram) receives website visit and order events through the Meta Pixel and Conversions API. Your email, phone, name and address are converted into irreversible codes (hashed) before they are sent, and Meta uses them to match orders to ads. Meta may process this data outside Australia.

SecurityBot and abuse protection on our forms.

Cloud infrastructureData storage and hosting, located in Australia.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on cloud infrastructure located in Australia. We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS, encrypted storage, and access controls. We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law.

Request correction of inaccurate information.

Request deletion of your information (subject to legal obligations).
